Large-scale measures against air pollution continue in Tashkent
In the capital, comprehensive measures to reduce air pollution, suppress dust, and protect public health are being carried out around the clock.
On
25 November 2025, the following works were completed:
58 fountains throughout the city were activated;
71
special water-spraying vehicles were deployed;
Trees
and shrubs along 177 streets (total length 444 km), including roadside
greenery, were washed;
Construction
work was halted at 890 sites;
At
241 construction sites, dust suppression and water spraying were carried out
using 48 specialised vehicles;
Artificial
irrigation networks around streets and avenues in 11 districts were switched
on;

fountains located along canals and aryks running through the city were
launched;
Irrigation
systems were activated in 108 schools and 81 kindergartens;

fountains and 1 water reservoir near 19 markets and large shopping complexes
were put into operation;
Using
37 water-spraying vehicles, market territories were cleaned, 2,000 fruit and
ornamental trees were washed, 45,000 m² of roofs and other structures were
cleaned, and 17,000 metres of irrigation channels (aryks) were cleared.
Commercial banks fully activated fountains and irrigation systems in front of 72 branches and 337 banking service centres; the surrounding trees were washed with water and cleared of dust.
Management
and service companies cleaned 3,364 out of 43,420 entrances of 11,594
multi-apartment buildings, as well as 150,000 m² of adjacent territory. Of the
136,478 trees in areas adjoining residential buildings, 20,727 were washed and
15,916 were watered.
