Another “Green Wave” corridor is now on Farg‘ona yo‘li Street
Residents had written to us several times in comments and appeals about the need to adjust the “Green Wave” system on Farg‘ona yo‘li Street.
We have done it.
Specialists of the Traffic Organisation Centre have coordinated 13 traffic light facilities on a 6-kilometre section — after the Qo‘yliq Bridge, in the direction from the “Qo‘yliq ota” mausoleum to UzBUM. The system operates around the clock.
The measurements carried out show the result: previously, in non-peak hours, covering this road took approximately 12–13 minutes, while now it is possible to cover this road in about 9 minutes.
📉 The time spent on the road has decreased by approximately 25 percent.
An important point: the “Green Wave” does not mean that the traffic light is constantly green at all intersections. The traffic lights are coordinated in such a way that when a driver moves at the set speed, he or she encounters a green light at as many intersections as possible.
In other words, the task of the “Green Wave” is not to completely eliminate stops at red lights, but to reduce their number, organise traffic more smoothly and shorten the time spent on the road.
Farg‘ona yo‘li Street is one of the main entrance traffic corridors of Tashkent. Through the Qo‘yliq direction, a large flow of vehicles enters the city
both from Tashkent itself and from Tashkent Region,
after which the traffic flow is distributed towards the central part of the capital.
For this reason, even a saving of a few minutes
on this 6-kilometre section
is important not only for an individual driver, but also for the smoother movement of the entire traffic flow.
Work is continuing: specialists monitor traffic throughout the day and, if necessary, additionally adjust the operating modes of the traffic lights.
🚘 6 km. 13 traffic lights. Instead of 12–13 minutes — approximately 9 minutes.
