The issue of student accommodation has been resolved: students of Tashkent State Technical University have been placed in other dormitories and rental apartments

Regarding this situation, a working group led by Durdona Rakhimova, Deputy Hokim of Tashkent City, visited the student dormitory and examined the existing situation on site. During the examination, the entrepreneur, relevant responsible officials, prosecutor’s office staff and the leadership of Tashkent State Technical University took part, and the necessary measures were determined regarding the situation.

▫️It was established that this student residential facility built on the basis of a public-private partnership in the Students’ Campus has not yet been officially put into operation. The cadastral documents of the facility have not been formalised, and the necessary permits for use have not been obtained. In addition, the hot water and heating systems have not yet been connected, and the facility also does not meet the current fire safety requirements.

➡️Therefore, in order to ensure the safety of the students, they were moved out of this facility and fully accommodated in the university’s existing student residences and rental apartments.

✔️The payments previously collected from the students placed in this facility will be fully refunded by the entrepreneur within 3 days.

🟢At present, work is continuing on formalising the cadastral documents of the facility and obtaining the necessary permits for its use.

❗️All aspects of the situation are being examined, and the relevant measures are being taken to ensure the safety and legitimate interests of the students.

This issue has been placed under the control of the Tashkent City Hokimiyat.
