🚦 Consistent work is being carried out in Tashkent City to create a safe, modern and convenient urban environment that takes into account the interests of all road users — pedestrians, public transport passengers and drivers.
In this regard, the capital’s transport infrastructure is being developed stage by stage: new BRT lanes are being built, the network of dedicated lanes for buses is being expanded, and the traffic organisation system is being improved.
However, creating modern infrastructure is only part of the work. Using it effectively and ensuring compliance with the established rules is equally important.
📍 In this connection, cameras controlling movement along the dedicated “A” lanes have been installed on a 6-kilometre section of Farg‘ona yo‘li Street, in both directions.
In addition, control cameras are also being gradually put into operation on dedicated lanes on other streets of the capital in order to give priority to public transport.
🚌 Why is it important not to occupy the dedicated lane for buses?
A single bus can carry more than 50 passengers at the same time. If a car enters the dedicated lane and obstructs the movement of the bus, this causes a delay not only for one vehicle, but for dozens of people who are in a hurry to work, to study, home or for other important matters.
In other words, more than 50 people may lose time because of one car. If the movement of several buses is delayed, the number of passengers who suffer from this increases even further.
It is precisely for this reason that dedicated lanes are intended to ensure that public transport moves without unnecessary delays, adheres to the timetable and that passengers arrive at their destinations on time.
⏰ We remind you: from 06:00 to 23:00, the movement of vehicles that do not have the right to travel in the dedicated “A” lanes is prohibited.
❗️Dear residents and guests of our capital, drivers!
We ask you to be extremely attentive on the roads, to comply with the requirements of road signs and markings, not to occupy dedicated lanes during prohibited times, and to respect the interests of other road users.
Developing road infrastructure, ensuring pedestrian safety and increasing the efficiency of public transport are consistent steps on the way to creating a convenient city for every person.
