In recent days, the topic of electric vehicle charging stations has been actively discussed. In this regard, we consider it important to clarify this matter.

⚡️First of all, the electric charging infrastructure in the city has not been suspended and continues to operate. In Tashkent, approximately 1,300 fast-charging devices with a capacity of more than 20 kW have been installed. The ongoing inspection does not mean the suspension of network operations — it is necessary to regulate connections and reduce risks for the population.

At the initiative of the city administration, on March 3, 12 working groups were formed and began inspection work. To date, more than 300 stations have undergone inspection, which allows assessment of the connection status and the actual load on the network.

During the inspection, certain violations were identified: 101 stations were temporarily disconnected from the network due to the absence of required documents, and it was also revealed that 62 stations do not have contracts with electricity supply enterprises.

💡 We will explain in simple terms why this is important. Fast charging with a capacity of more than 20 kW represents a significant load on electrical networks: one vehicle can consume tens of kilowatts of energy in a short time. If connections are made without proper calculations and technical conditions, the risk of overload and outages in the power supply of residential buildings increases. We are all residents of one city, and for us the stable supply of electricity in homes, schools and hospitals is of vital importance.

🔆 The measures being implemented are not aimed at restricting the development of electromobility, but at ensuring the safe and stable operation of the energy system. It is important now to establish order and define clear requirements — only then will the charging infrastructure develop calmly and sustainably.

⚡️ We emphasize separately: legal assessment falls within the competence of the authorized bodies. They not only record violations but also propose solutions for bringing facilities into compliance with the requirements. At the same time, attempts by certain individuals to create hype around this topic and replace professional assessment bring no benefit to the city, the population or the market.

✔️ The city is open to constructive cooperation with entrepreneurs who are ready to operate within the legal framework and comply with technical requirements.
