On the square in front of the Chorsu market stands an old brick building that catches the eye.
On the upper part of the
facade, the construction date—1911—is laid out in bricks.
This was a trading house
called "Brothers Shemarin"—entrepreneurs from Tula who supplied their
famous samovars to Turkestan.
Residents of the nearby
neighborhoods remember that during the Soviet era, the building housed District
Polyclinic No. 4.
Currently, the "Ipak
Yuli" bank is located here.
Unfortunately, the view
of the building is spoiled by attached kiosks for ATMs.
