Issues of establishing a branch of Kwangwoon University in Tashkent were discussed

Today a meeting was held with the participation of A. Dusmukhamedov, Deputy Hokim of Tashkent City — Head of the Digital Development Department, and Mr. Edward Kim, Honorary Adviser to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Director General of the Korea–Uzbekistan Business Association.

▫️The meeting was also attended by B. Rajabov, Head of the Tashkent City Department of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, O. Tuychiyev, Rector of Turin Polytechnic University in Tashkent, B. Mustafoyev, Deputy Hokim of Yakkasaray District, and M. Abdurashitov, Head of Division of the Tashkent City Department of Investments, Industry and Trade.

✔️During the dialogue, issues of establishing a branch in Uzbekistan of Kwangwoon University, one of the prestigious higher education institutions located in Seoul, South Korea, were discussed.

🖥Within the framework of the initiative, it is planned to develop modern education and research activities in the fields of artificial intelligence, software, computer and information engineering, information convergence and robotics.

📈Three locations were proposed by the Tashkent City Department of Investments, Industry and Trade for the implementation of the project.

🟢At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to study these locations in accordance with the university’s requirements, select a suitable site for the branch, define the educational programmes and requirements for the necessary infrastructure, and develop the sequence of further work on the implementation of the project.
