Center of Islamic Civilization
Center of Islamic Civilization

A unique international scientific and educational complex located near the Hast-Imam ensemble – a place of pilgrimage for Muslims.

 The building has four thematic portals 34 meters high. The main dome, located above the main hall with the Quran of Uthman, is more than 60 meters high.

 · The Center’s exhibition is built on a chronological principle and consists of the following zones:

· Pre-Islamic heritage – from ancient times to the 7th century AD;

· Era of the First Eastern Renaissance – 8th–13th centuries;

· Era of the Second Renaissance – 14th–16th centuries;

· New Uzbekistan – the foundation of the New Renaissance.

 Some exhibits in the Center’s collection were transferred from leading museums of Uzbekistan. A number of items with historical ties to the region were acquired by the state at international auctions or provided by foreign museums. For some objects located abroad, high-precision scientific copies have been created using modern technologies.

 A variety of interactive formats are available for visitors. Here you can visit immersive halls and modern multimedia exhibitions, walk through digital reconstructions of Uzbek cities, and hear stories about scientific discoveries from the “first person” – through digital images of great scientists of the past.

Among the interesting interactives presented on the screens are virtual archery or the opportunity to light a fire in a tandoor oven using installed bellows.

In the “New Uzbekistan” space, you can interact with Humo AI – a digital assistant that answers questions about the Center of Islamic Civilization and the history of the country.
